Spindle Palm

The spindle palm is a striking palm that is very distinctive in the landscape. It can be planted in groupings or as an individual. It looks best when kept trimmed and will add elegance to any landscape. The Spindle Palm has a solitary trunk that bulges slightly in the center, a distinctive broad crownshaft and a crown of arching fronds.  Preferring open sites and tolerating coastal areas, it also performs well as a container specimen.  The Spindle Palm is highly salt tolerant.  This palm gives a very formal look to any landscape.
