Coccothrinax Miraguama Palm

(Coccothrinax miraguama)

The Miraguama is a moderate to fast growing solitary- trunked palm with fronds that form neat circles giving the canopy a more formal appearance than other palms. The trunk matting displays the exceptionally beautiful woven mesh design of the old leaf fibers and narrowly triangular leaf bases. This palm is indigenous to Cuba, where it grows in the savannas, open woods and near the coast, giving us the opportunity to use this palm in a variety of landscape options. The Miraguama makes a great specimen for patios, courtyards or understory settings in the tropical landscape.
